Quick answer: Book your Studio Facial one week before your holiday event, and your sugaring and spray tan two days before. Holiday weeks in the Conejo Valley tend to fill up earlier than usual, so getting on the calendar ahead of time gives you the most flexibility with timing.

Prebooking is very important this time of year. It is how you get the day and time you want, instead of whatever is left.

Find your holiday below and use it as a starting point for planning.

The Formula

There is a simple sequence I use with clients heading into a holiday event.

For most Studio Facials, book about one week before your event. If you are considering a stronger peel or corrective treatment, reach out before scheduling so we can allow the appropriate amount of recovery time. A facial works best when there is a little space between your appointment and the day you need to look polished. Scheduling it about seven days out gives your skin time to settle, allowing any temporary redness to fade and your results to look their best.

Book sugaring and your airbrush tan two days before. This is the window where timing really matters for a spray tan — 36 to 48 hours before your event lets the color develop fully and reach its most natural-looking finish. Sugaring pairs well with this timing because it removes hair and provides light exfoliation, which helps the tan apply evenly and last longer.

Both services can be done the same day, and that is exactly how most clients schedule them. When both services are scheduled together, sugaring is performed first, followed by your airbrush tan. If you have had traditional waxing instead of sugaring, allow at least 24 hours between that and your spray tan appointment.

Quick-Reference Table

These dates are for the 2026 holiday season.

How to Prepare

A little prep before each service goes a long way toward a clean, even result.

Before your facial: Arrive with clean skin and skip any active treatments — retinol, exfoliating acids, or anything aggressive — for at least five days beforehand. Let your skin be in a neutral state. There is no need to do anything extra.

Before sugaring: You will need at least 2.5 weeks of growth after your last shave, or three weeks after your last sugar or wax. Come in with clean skin — no lotion, oil, or product on the area being treated. Exfoliate one last time the night before your appointment, then skip it until after.

Before your spray tan: The week before, moisturize daily and exfoliate every other day. The night before your appointment, shower and exfoliate one last time, then apply nothing afterward. No deodorant, lotion, or fragrance. Arrive with bare skin. Wear or bring dark, loose-fitting clothes and open-toed shoes. Avoid anything tight or fitted until after your first rinse.

After your spray tan: Your first rinse — water only, no soap — happens somewhere between two and seven hours after your appointment, depending on the depth of color you want. Do not panic when the bronzer washes off; the actual color continues to develop for up to 24 hours. For best results, use soap for the first time 20 to 24 hours post-appointment. Keep the skin dry and avoid sweating, swimming, or tight clothing in the hours before that first rinse.

What to Book If You Are Short on Time

If your event is closer than ideal, start with the spray tan. Book it 24 hours before if that is what is available — the tan will still develop. Sugaring can be added the same day. A facial is best skipped if you are within a few days of an event and have not had one recently; fresh skin needs a little time.

When in doubt, reach out. I can help you figure out what makes the most sense based on your timeline.
